Director: Lyla Mzayek
Synopsis: When an illegal Arab immigrant and her five-year-old daughter encounter a day that spirals with difficulties, they navigate feeling voiceless, powerless, and alienation in the U.S. by envisioning a folk tale that brings them hope.
Screenlits Role: We worked to develop the script of ‘The Rain Lady’ and produce alongside Chapman University senior and director of the film, Lyla, for her thesis project. The film was a success picking up numerous festival showings and accolades along the way.
